PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
The Summit serves as a pictorial history recording many things to be re- membered by the students who work and play, grow and develop in the Coll- ege in the Sky. In the years ahead, this volume will be treasured by the old grads who look back with a feeling of nostalgia to happy campus days.
I wish to congratulate the editor, her staff, and the faculty advisor upon the production of this fine annual. Much time and effort have gone into it and all who have contributed deserve much credit.
My best wishes to all of you as you go forth into new fields of endeavor.

We have sought to preserve in the 1954 Summit, the vivid pictures which are a part of our college memories, hoping that they may serve as an elevating force when you, in retrospect, glance over your days spent at Asheville-Bilt- more College. To us it is ... a living record of familiar scenes and faces, ... a living symbol of pleasant memories and happy days.
